Durango, CO - (March 24, 2020) Colorado resident, Ryan Engle, has answered the call to serve the local community, becoming the designated local “Paramedic of Property Damage” with the opening of his new First Call restoration company located in Durango, Colorado. Engle leads a team of highly trained technicians to help home and business owners with water, fire, mold, and other property damage, 24/7. First Call of Durango will serve La Plata County, Montezuma County, Dolores County, San Juan County, and Archuleta County, among other areas in Southwest Colorado.

Background

Before opening First Call Property Restoration, Engle served as a Sheriff’s Deputy in La Plata County for over 20 years. He is a fifth-generation resident of Southwest Colorado and attended Fort Lewis College, where he majored in psychology. At the beginning of his career, he worked in detentions before transiting into patrol, where he attained the rank of Corporal and Field Training Coordinator. In 2003, he began working with the Southwest Drug Task Force (SWDTF) as a Narcotics Investigator until he was promoted to Lieutenant/Drug Unit Commander of the SWDTF.

Throughout this time, Engle also explored several entrepreneurial ventures. He founded a mortgage brokerage in 2001 called Four Corners Lending as well as purchased a hair salon, Lemon Head Hair Salon, with his wife, Alayna, who continues to run the daily operations for the salon. Engle decided to open a First Call franchise as he was looking for an opportunity that would allow him to continue his passion for helping his local community following his retirement.
